House D Interior design

“House D” is one of our favourite’s projects, in which we had the opportunity to make design to a higher level for residential projects. When we have clients who are passionate about quality and beauty, projects become like works of art.

Starting from the existing space and from the partitioning of the ground floor, we delivered a design concept in which wood became the main material, being present in the solid wood floors, wooden reflections for the delimitation of the staircase and the coffered ceiling.

Inspired by the industrial style, we integrated the concrete in the fitting of the accent wall in the living area, the exposed brick and the black hardware for all the carpentry parts. The furniture connects the entire space and delimits the areas through its eclecticism, and the industrial style lighting objects, with black metal, bring the desired atmosphere to the space.

The open space kitchen has two areas: a wall with blue-turquoise furniture and a natural wood island with a dark blue counter top. The dining area retains the turquoise in the kitchen, and consists of a rectangular table with rounded corners, an “L” shaped bench and a brown chair.

The relaxation area, similar to a mini-greenhouse, is probably the most pleasant corner of the living area. It is located towards the courtyard, where the wall is made of glass, and natural light floods the space, inviting you to take a seat and relax with a good book. So, we put a custom armchair, made of leather and with a wooden frame, and we surrounded it with green plants. Thus, we managed to connect the indoor-outdoor areas.

One thing that I did in this arrangement and that brought a note of elegance, is the visual separation of the space, through the curtains. I chose a heavy, velvet-like material, black in color, which connects all the industrial elements with the contemporary ones.
